Whether in her yoga class or in the club, Carmelinda Dimanno wants her crowd to find a spirit of joy. To that end, DJ Carmelinda goes to her sweet spot: Deep, sexy house, the music she believes gets the energy level up and inhibitions down. Frequently seen spinning at d|bar, Four Seasons Hotel Toronto in Yorkville, the former dancer seeks balance and wellness, in her life and in the room, with the overall goal of keeping it positive and playing to the energy and atmosphere to ensure the crowd feels the connection. First drawn to the scene from hearing DJs such as Danny Tenaglia and Honey Dijon, Carmelinda said her sound has softened from her earlier days, and she finds herself equally attracted to Black Coffee, Mark Farina, and Pablo Fierro along with perennials such as Prince and Stevie Wonder.
